Can I ask this VW diesel question here?

It seems that the "General Diesel" board does not cater to conversions so here goes:



I am now thinking about putting a VW turbo diesel in an Audi 4000 quattro or a VW Quantum synchro or putting AWD stuff in a 2WD Audi Fox, Audi 4000, VW Dasher or VW Quantum. Does anyone know about compatibility issues? I would think the diesel would pretty much bolt up to one of these gas trannys but would the AWD parts easily go into one of these 2WD chassis'?



I want a small AWD high mpg commuter that will climb my steep driveway in the snow. My commute is 90+ miles per day.

Incidentally, we got 6 inches last night and the Baja Bug would not climb the driveway so I took the W250 to work.

vw diesel

In yahoo groups there is a vw diesel that I am a member of. If you can not find it then pm me and I will help you it. The vw is a great diesel engine. It has saved me a lot of money on fuel and other expenses.
