Camper help

Have a 31 foot 5th wheel with 15 inch tires. Hooked up to the new truck it slopes back. Hitch is as low as it can. Springs are alreadyover axle. Changing to 16 inch rims/tire should level it up. Any problems with this. I measered the distance between axles on mine and compared to a trailer wit 16's. The center to center distance is the same. They should fit in the wheel wells ok.

Anything else I am missing to think about?

Thanks :)

Spring travel, especially if any shackle is involved. Tires move forward or back, depending on suspension and direction.

I think the only concerns are fitting in the wheel well and not hitting the top of the well if you hit a bump and of course enough space between the wheels so the tires are not hitting each other.

Measure carefully, it will probably work fine.

Benefits, you are forgetting about the benefits.

Changing to a 16" tire allows you to use real tires, such as Michelin XPS. Preventing one blowout is worth the expense. I did this on my trailer when it was brand new and sold my Goodyear junk back to the tire dealer.
