I pretty much don't panic. I cannot picture a situation that would lead me to intentionally push the panic button. I don't hit it accidently that often, but it only seems to happen at inopportune moments. Can it be disabled? I would have no reservations about disabling it permanently if that is what it takes.

Thanks, Dave

Some people prefer to simply put a piece of tape over the contact, that way it can easily be returned to stock as needed.

I think I still have a remote that is missing its panic button. The button completely fell out and was replaced under warranty. The remote still functions. PM me if it would do the trick for you. You could easily program it to your truck.

I would rather have my panic button and not need it, than need my panic button and not have it.

Wait, I mean,... . panic buttons don't scare people, people scare people.

No, I mean,... . you can have my panic button when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

I agree, I cant imagine a situation where the panic button would do anybody any good. Nobody pays attention to car alarms anyways.

How about... you're walking out to your truck. You notice someone looking at all the gauges and what-nots you've got installed, and they're just a little too close for your comfort. You also notice they got out of a blue-ovalled vehicle. You reach into your pocket, and hit the little red button. 140psi of air pressure goes rushing through your air horns, causing the 'Built Ford Tough' guy to jump back and wet himself.

You just can't buy entertainment like that! :)
