Can I get a little help, maybe?

Hi, I have been trying to help out guy with his '01 CTD auto over in Idaho. Myself I am in Wisconsin, lol, I know, why? Anyway sounds as if he is going to become a TDR member, but for know here is his deal. I met him on SnoWest web site looking for some info, so I chimmed in. He has put the turnbuckle on his turbo and is getting 30psi of boost, when he had his EZ plugged in the truck would defuel bad, boost numbers remain close to stock as truck defuels. So I told him to recheck connections and to pull codes, he does have a compainion code of 1693 and my guess he has set an over boost code. Anyway he wants to send the EZ back, and he does not really have a clue how to tell if the truck is defueling or not.

I am just wonder if anybody is close enough to Post Falls, Idaho to maybe be able to e-mail him to try to help this guy out? Post Falls is close to Spokane, WA. I thought 1693 code was always with another code? What is it?

I am getting 1693 and 0216. I know, soon I get to put a pump on it.

Have him call Edge, they will help him.

What is his fuel pressure?

Ya you are right and he is calling Edge, he just put the turnbuckle on, with no box. He had no codes before and the 1693 I am sure popped up with the over boost code. Remember he seems new at this. F/P I will have to get back to ya, doubt he has one on which I have already told him he needs it with that truck.
