I went to my local dodge dealer today for a new oil filter, well they don't have them nor do they know when when they will. So I went to the local heavy duty parts store still no luck. They had no part numbers when they tried a cross reference the mopar number. The parts guy even called cummins northeast and cummins did have a part number but no filters. Now does anybody know where to get filters, I would like either cummins or fleetguard. Finally does anyone know where to get the new CI/4 oil needed for this truck. The local parts store only have CH/4 oil.

Any one of the Amsoil Diesel oils are now rated as API CI-4/SL.

One is a Synthetic "blend" 15W-40, one is a full synthetic 15W-40. , and the other is a full synthetic 5W-30.

that new valvoline extreme blue stuff looks to be a potential winner... there is a thread on it in the products/accessories forum

I appreciate all of your replies, and I will be contacting Gino's tomorrow. The truck was one of the first , maybe the very first 03' cummins sold in R. I. and all the local dealers have these filters on backorder with no time frame for delivery. I also will have to check on these oils. I have heard good things about Amsoil however I would like to get about 10,000 miles on the clock before switching to synthetics. Once again this thaks for all your help, this was my first post as a new TDR member and I hope to help you guys out someday.
