I tried posting a pic on a post and when I try to upload from my HD I get an error saying I already posted that pic before in another thread (which I did several weeks ago). Why is that?

I am going to rename the file and see if it accepts it.

It's built into vBulletin to save space. What you can do is go to your original thread and pull down your "view" menu to "source" and then find your post in the source code (try doing a Ctrl-F and put in several words in your post and it will take you right to it). You'll see the html code for the attachment and you can cut and paste that into your new post.

IN USER CP I THINK ... .....

THERE IS A LIST OF ALL THE PHOTOS YOU HAVE POSTED

it also has a URL you copy and paste to your thread so you dont have to upload the same pic twice

Good catch - yes, you can go into the user control panel and then at the very bottom on the left is a link that says attachments. That will give you a list of all your attachments and you can then right click on the one you want and click on copy shortcut. Then just paste that url into your post with vB img codes around it and wala.

Matt, that's because you didn't do them as attachments. You probably just linked to them either in you reader's rigs section or another web space somewhere with IMG tags.

Oh. . I see, yep I always use the IMG tags. I didn't even realize I could upload a pic straight to a post- Thanks!
