Can power door mirror be repaired? 2006

The power driver's side door mirror on my 2006 RAM 2500 works partially. The mirror will move left-right but will only move down when the switch is pressed. The motor can be heard running, but the mirror fails to come back up without a little assistance from my thumb. The right side mirror functions normally. I suspect the problem is from dirt or corrosion, but I don't know if the unit can be disassembled.



Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it without replacing the whole unit?

Mine is also doing the same thing. Was hoping for a fix, since a replacement mirror is a little pricey.

I have both sport style mirrors off my 03. Looking for a home. Worked fine when I changed to tow mirrors.
