Can seat belt chime be shut off?

I was wondering if the seat belt chime can be shut off on my 04. I make several stops in a short distance and the chime gets irritating after a while. Thanks.

The instructions in the manual do work, but you have to do the "plug and unplug" really fast.

I couldn't get it to work standing in the doorway. I finally had to sit in the seat to do it fast enough.

Yes same problem here, had to do it a few times. Some say to hook the middle belt together.

I think I took care of that before the third digit lit on the odo It is annoying!

The little 'dinger' on mine burned out at around 170K miles - so you have that to look forward to if, like me, you're too lazy to plug / unplug the seat belt...

This 04 has 47,000 miles on it, so I don't see the dinger burning out soon. Thanks.

just unplug the connector under the seat and join the two pins that are in the connector coming from under the carpet. this shuts off the chime and makes the light go away forever. truck computer thinks your buckled in. first thing i did when i got home from the dealer. took me about 3 min to do.
