Did they make any ext cab long bed cummins 4x4 before 92? I am thinking it would be easier to swap my crew cab short bed body on to that frame. If not I will contine to look for whatever year one I can get my hands on.
back to '89 was first year for Cummins in First gen. I don't think (I could be very possibly wrong) that frame will work though, cause it's gotta little 'kink' right behind the cab mounts, and you will need more 'flat' frame area for under yer cab. WOW, did that make sense? Oo.
Course, with a torch and bailing wire, just about anything is possibe.
__AND__ on a different note... ... ... .
Did anybody else get Four-Wheeler magazine and catch the ford guy asking for info for a Cummins swap? Lamers didn't even mention this place..... LOL
My old crew cab that was totaled, was bought by a guy who is doing the same thing you want to do to his 92 Dodge Cummins extended cab/8 foot box. Have yet to see it, he is supposed to bring it by when he is done.
