Can someone please explain diesel washing ?

I have been reading up on how to make bio-diesel but the washing part I haven't really got allot of info on the best way or how many times. Thanks

The purpose of washing bio-diesel is to get the methanol out of it. Wash it as many times as needed.

Washing id done by adding water to it GENTLY. The alcohol will bond to it and settle out together.

Some pour water in, some add the water first, some bubble wash it. There are other ways too.

Be very cautious, and gentle or you will end up with an emusion and it takes alot of time to break that down.



Next step is to dry it.
