Is ATF+2 the Same as Mitsubishi SPII?

Downpipe and flange

Sorry for the oil question but I tried to do a search and MY GOD, I don't have 3 days to pour over all the stuff that's been discussed.

I have on 01 HO that I've been using Delo 400 since new, has 67000 miles on it. I live in a very cold climate and am interested in the benefits of synthetic oil for cold starts. I can run long intervals even on dino oil because of my driving, towing conditions. I don't really care about cost, although I'll run longer intervals for sure. Cold starts are the only reason I want to switch to synthetic. Thanks.

Personally I run Mobil Delvac 1, this product has recently been packaged as Mobil 1 truck and SUV oil and can be purchased at Wal-Mart.

Oil

I'm running Amsoil 5-30w Series 2000? HP diesel oil. I've got about 150000miles on the truck and no oil related problems. Had the valve cover off for a injector change a while back, the inside was of the engine was clean and valve clearence was still in spec. Truck always starts right up even when its -20 around hear in the midwest.

I've run both this oil and the Redline 15w-40. Both made a remarkable difference in the engine's smoothness.

I am running this oil now because 1) it's easier to get (wal-mart). 2) it's cheaper by a huge amount (Redline is $30/gal!), and 3) Delvac 1 is known to be great oil.

I may never go back to Redline. It's good, but I doubt it's almosy twice as good as this oil. It might not even be AS good-- who knows?
