Can the Cummins E-brake be used with a 4" exhaust? Does anybody have this setup? How do they like it? What is the interior dia. of the E-brake?

I have Jacobs E-Brake to a 4"JRE System. At the flange it expands out to the 4" dia. No problems with that particular setup as I did the installation of both myself.

I can think of only one possible problem with using the Jacobs with 4in exhaust, if you run the HX40 turbo. No problems here with my 14cm holset housing, Jacobs Ebrake and custom 4in exhaust.

The E-Brake replaces the stock elbow. Anything made to adapt to the stock elbow will also attach to the E-Brake.

I have the e brake, followed by the BD 4 inch exhaust. I love this combination. The e brake is my "most used" modification.

I'd rather be... .
Cummin than Strokin.

I have a Jacobs e-brake sitting right in front of me that hasn't been installed yet.
The interior diameter is 3",just like the factory elbow that comes off the turbo.

JtK... if you mean you will order it with a new truck, you might want to take a look at the cost... from Dodge, it would have cost me $1250. 00. I deleted that option, ordered my truck, and then went to Cummins NW. Bought it there for $675. 00(including tax and power boosters discount), then installed it myself. It is a very easy install, and saved almost half!

Without mentioning prices, you might want to check out mopar4less.com first, and don't forget to mention it is a web order.

Thanks for the info! Is there anything that could possibly tear up on them to warrant getting it with the truck when I order it (warranty?) I think the option was about $950

The Ebrake is warrantied for 5/100K and is very easy to install. For the prices mentioned above, 550 was cheap, that I paid.

$1250 ... . Good God #ad
I thought the $700 I paid installed by the dealer when I bought my Y2K was steep ..... #ad

I should probably start a new post, but I am about to start hotshotting. I will immediately install 4" exhaust w/ 2 chrome stacks. Which exhaust brake works best w/ 4" exhaust and the ECM (I'm to lazy to flip switches all the time. Also, can they be used to load the engine for extended idling?
Thanks
