Another Wilton Bullet Vise for my Workshop

picked up a power steering pump from a 99 Ram 50 at the junk yard. I want to re-purpose it, but I am not sure if it is working. I feel no pressure or suction when I spin the pulley, and oil passes straight through it.

Is there a way to test this pump to determine if it works or not?

ww granger has the glycerin filled gauges for about $15 get a 1,000 psi one. connect the output hose to the gauge get some tractor hydraulic fluid or atf and spin it with a drill. if you are going to load test it you will need to use a belt driven motor and use a valve to restrict flow while observing pressure. also look at northern tool catalogue for any thing you need for your project
