Competition Dana 80 - converting to 37-spline?

Competition 03 to P-pump

No intercooler ... interesting. Couldn't hold the boost no doubt.

Wonder what that motor costs if you went & had it built?

Reckon he'll buy a Scheid emgine, ifin he sells thata one?

My favorite line:

"To date the amount of power it has exhibited, in setting the record and in testing after if right at 900 hp"

"IF"????

If right, at 900?? LMAO!! Well, is it, or isn't it?

I wonder what record it set?

The secret to the 900hp is the BULLET cam that is right all of us have been wasting our time with billet and reground cams when all the time the big HP is in the BULLET cam... . :-laf What were we thinking??

I will be suprised if it sells... . maybe I should buy it and put it in my pulling truck and see if it is a "dual" sport engine.

Craig

ultradyne is still around?? I heard they closed up because Harold passed away the other year. Ultradyne truly was a one off company. Great product

If Comp is talking about the Bullet Cams that we race with out of MS, than I wouldn't question the quality of the product. But don't kid yourself Bullet builds some sweet stuff. They build IMO the best camshaft in the racing industry by far.

I'll tell you where you would end up Craig- right behind all the 550 HP pulling engines!!LOL

I refuse to put Comp in with the group I call "West Coasters" .

Comp and Dr. P have their own way of measuring things, and manufacturing world records.

They are in their own league, the rest of us, east, west, midwest are obviously just playing catch up.

Pretty sure Harold's working for Lunati now.

Wow. . I heard they shut down the business cause Harold passed away and the kids didn't want to keep the business going. I am glad to hear he is OK. He was a nice person. Chatted with him quite a few times about cam profiles. Another vendor that was very full of knowledge.

I hear John Russin (buddhapower) actually provided the injection pump, injectors, and designed the cam. His logo is somewhere on the truck.

Definately a nice, and bright person. Hard to get a hold of though, especially when he worked for Ultradyne. I had tried to get in touch with him about a new cam for my 'Velle, but he never responded. Needless to say, i've got a Comp Magnum stick in the 383. I'd like to put a small solid in it for more low end, plus a neater idle. It lopes good now, sounds mean with headers uncapped. Can't get it tuned worth a darn though. Had low compression on one cylinder until I set the valves. Rebuilt the carb, installed new R43T's, put new 8mm wires..... rebuilt the distributor and recurved it. What else could it be? Think I narrowed it down to the carb gasket leaking. Or else a case of cold-blooded engine. Ran awesome when I first got it built. Anyways, back to the subject... ... I've chatted with Harold on the Chevelle Forum, and seen him on the Camaro forum I believe. He gets a lot of business from the Chevelle club alone. ;) :-laf

Johns Buddha power decal is on the car , because he is a person I consulted when I was learning the basics about diesels , the cam in the truck is John Russin grind. The pump and injector are done by Doc. I built the motor. John was a very valuable friend , allowing me to pester him , the same way , I’ve done with Warren and the Grump

along with several others like Brian Block, and Jim Fullmer,

I'm not the brightest one in the world but, www.bulletcams.com These guys were previously known as Ultradyne cams, small company with some good ideas.

BULLET CAMS is owned by John Partridge, Bullet has been around for 5 years , John had been doing cams at Lunati for as long as I can remember . most Pro Stock , and comp guys along with any one that is serious about R&D used , or have used his cams , he is one of the few that can CNC a lobe profile . John informed me that he bought what was left of ultradyne cams , a few months ago for their inventory and machinery , their doors had been closed for a year or so,

One exception , I do have a time slip and about 80,000 witnesses , wasn’t done in total secret ,at a Transylvanian drag strip , with a “MEGA MENTAL “ timing device

Sleddy likes to talk about the west coast correction factor. What would be the correction factor used for this engine?

DITTO, see above , that’s applicable to you also
