Can you do any mods to new trucks? Exhaust?

My nieghbor is really looking hard to get a new truck but always likes to change the exhaust and do something simple like a Banks system to boost the power. Problem is all he has heard so far is NO! Is this true. He just sold his 06 crew cab 6. 0 that would run 14. 95 @ 91 here in Denver with just a Banks module and 5" exhaust. Liked it a lot but he is leary of the new 6. 4.

The truck is so new that the only mod I'm aware of is removing the muffler (unsure of any benefit) and installing a cold air intake. S&B filters is the only one I know that has one out. Real impressive facility and R&D.

I know we can remove the muffler and change out the tail pipe if you choose, and as stated I am not sure either of any benefit from this, but I do plan on b uilding and installing a muffler delete spool pup and I will post what if any benefits this weekend if I can get all my ducks in a row on this.



I have been told by one of my dealers that the new Edge module-juice or whatever they call it is out with limited numbers. They told me they have a couple of these on already and that they were very impressive. I told them if they can get another for the beta testing I would sure like to run one on mine. I also told them I had a little over 10K on my 6. 7 and they told me that they really would rather wait till I had 15K on the motor, but since I pull a gooseneck almost all the time, that they would see what they could do as they figured mine was just about broke in anyway. I will post any things that come up on this as well.



The really sad thing while at this dealer of mine was what parts I brought to them. They have a customers 07' 3500 dually in that they are putting all the front 4X4 axle and parts under. Truck is just like mine except its silver. The guy ran out of road and ran through the back side of the ditch and drug all the front to the middle of the truck. I mean everything was messed up bad, front axle broken clean into... I brought in 6 grand worth of parts just to get this truck back on her feet, then they will see if the motor and transmission mounts and the rest is ok or not. Guy was lucky he didn't get hurt with where he wound up as its a bad patch of earth Truck has 20K on it and I guess you can say its broke in now too Bad way for such a nice truck
