Do any of you guys hear your clockspring unwind when you turn, especially right? I just had mine replaced under warranty and I can hear it when I turn right. Is this characteristic of the truck and normal?

Thanks fellas'

yes

it goes tic toc tic toc ..... no really I can hear mine in there making noise while I am turning too, as long as it work dont worry about it... ... ... ... ... . Kevin

It shouldn't make noice

Take it back to the dealer and get another one installed, it shouldn't make noise. It may have been installed incorrectly.

It is the ribbon cable in the steering column from the stationary part to the rotating part. The most important thing it does is fire the airbag in an accident.

also powers all steering wheel controls [radio on bottom of steering wheel, cruise control] and sets a airbag light on dash if it's bad.
