A few weeks back I suffered loss of power, while driving on the freeway at approximately 80mph. The truck slowed to around 60 and wouldn't go any faster no matter how much pedal I gave. CEL was on, so I checked the codes and got the P0216.
I was also having trouble with the APPS at the time, which has been replaced. Since replacing the APPS, the truck has stumbled once and thrown the P0216, but has not repeated itself for a few weeks. The truck is running very well right now. Is it possible that the P0216 was related to the bad APPS and has corrected itself or is this wishful thinking?
I was trying to hold off replacing the VP, since the darn thing costs so much. I have a set of 275's on their way and would like to add a Van Aaken too, but this VP thing is really screwing up my plans ... what do you think? Shine the VP for now and push as much fuel out of it as I can with the injector/box combo ... or am I just asking for problems?
BTW: 99 2500 QC, pretty much stock, except for the Vulcan relocation kit and gauges.
