I have a couple Canadian military take-off used 9. 00R16 Michelin XL tires coming to Connecticut this weekend. The ones I bought are 90 percent tread left, and I paid $275 each for them. Definitely cool-looking sneakers. 9 inches wide, 36 inches tall. I am not affiliated with the people bringing me the tires. Their web site is militarytires.com. As a favor to my northeastern TDR brothers, I will take delivery of tires if you want some, and get them shipped to you. Or you can come here and pick them up if you want. I'm not doing this for any profit. It's an opportunity to get these hard-to-find tires for your truck if you want. The price will vary depending on how much tread is left on what you buy. You'll have to discuss that with Michele, the owner of the business up in Montreal. So there you have it. A favor from me to you, if you want. Talk to Michele, and PM me to work things out. All I offer is a chance to get these tires easily as a favor, no profit to me. Hopefully this is okay, I'm not advertising for anyone. Just presenting an opportunity.

Those are pretty gnarly looking tires. I like the skinny, tall look. One of those tires was 24" wide! You might have some rubbing problems with that one! :-laf

You're right. You can only go 62 MPH if you are at max inflation and max load. Their max load is nearly 4000 pounds per tire. Max inflation is like 90 PSI. I'm not anywhere near that when I run around day to day.

So far, so good. They've been on the truck for a couple weeks now. They look unique, for lack of a better adjective. Got the truck up a bit higher. When you're just barely rolling it feels like you're on those wake-up strips they cut in the side of highways. When you pick up speed they really get loud, which I like in a demented sort of way. I couldn't get them balanced when I had them mounted because they were much too big for the machine the shop had. They were pretty far out of balance, and I was not too happy with all the shaking going on because of it. Yesterday I had 6 ounces of Equal added to each tire. Much, much better now. So far, I like them.

The Equal helped me out quite a bit. Strange thing is, my tires don't show up on any charts, so they didn't know how much to put in. :( The tire place I got it from said they have a new product coming out called Ride-On. Don't quote me on the spelling. It's supposed to do what the Equal does as far as balancing, but it's thick silicone. Supposedly it'll stop a leak as big as a quarter-inch hole as long as it is in the tread area. As you know, I had already ordered the Centramatics before I found the Equal. Since I still have a hint of imbalance after the Equal, I figure I'll put the Centramatics on to see if it'll get the rest out.

I'll have to do that. I already ran out and took some once, but my camera was set on too high of a resolution. I was going to wait for a couple other goodies I ordered to come in. Then I'll take a bunch of pics to put in my gallery. Still fighting an apparent balance issue. Hopefully the Centramatics will take care of it. The tires definitely look awesome. I'm finding they're not the greatest in the rain. No mishaps or anything, but I am aware they can lose their grip on wet roads, and drive accordingly.

Hammer took some pics and posted them in his gallery, but the more the merrier. Simplysmn, I may have to take you up on one or more of them sneakers. My shaking HAS to be a tire issue. Just gotta identify the offending tires and either try remounting or just plain replacing them. I'll definitely be investigating closely when I can find some time. :(

Not really. I have Kore chase suspension. So it isn't raised much higher than the leveling kits will get you. They're somewhere around 35 1/2" tall.
