So I sold my 2500 and want to get a slightly used 3500. I found one but the Ram dealer is telling me,
Ram won't allow them to sell Any of their trucks, affected by the Interlock Safety Recall until they are
Fixed! #ad
As of right now, Ram does not even have a Solution for this problem. #ad

So I can either put a refundable deposit down and wait, or buy one privately or through a non-Ram dealer.

I can't even get them to allow me to just sign a waiver and take the truck. The dealer told me, they have over
$2 Million worth of trucks in their inventory they Can't sell because of this.

Dave...

That sucks for them. I'm guessing that the dealers are going to be screaming for Ram to get them fixed lost sales is bad for business.

Yep. I was randomly lucky when I bought my recalled 3500 about a week before the water pump recall was announced.

The water pump recall was announced nearly 4 months ago. Still no parts. I'm guessing those dealers are as any as the owners for a solution and some parts

just picked up 18 2500 that i ordered nov 18. manuals are wicked hard to find. but who knows, might be one near you....

Or--going to get flack but..... The recalls plus my truck (16) throws codes quite often related to the DEF system sometimes 4 or 5 I clear from the DEF injector being hot to the Particulate filter. Every dealer here in DFW I checked is a 2 week wait at least with the truck being required to be left.

Love the truck but Ford next time.

I hate to say it but after the 2012 and now this 2013 I've lost my faith in RAM. Cummins is a great engine. The truck not so much. The new Ford is starting to warm on me...

My 2010 Ram 1500 now has............A Broken HVAC door. You can hear it cracking under the dash when it goes through its self calibration at startup. So, this is 2 times on my '07 and now once on the 2010. How blasted difficult is it do something like design a HVAC system that lasts more than a 100K without falling apart.

I'm quickly losing my faith also.

just heard on business report ford f 250's 2011 - 2017 are accused of having emissions cheating software....good grief.

If an F250/350 started installing Cummins engines, of any kind or size, would not change my mind about FORD (found on road dead). Over my life time, every Ford I've owned, has caused me grief in one form or another. My Dodge trucks, pre 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen and I drove a 4th gen 30K miles (that was bought back by Dodge) has been far better than any Ford. Good luck with your Ford when you swap.

Stopped at my dealer to check on something else and asked about this. They have a truck very similar to mine that they now can't sell. But only because of the shifter recall. The water pump recall isn't a no sale problem according to them.

And they confirmed my truck needs both recalls when they get parts. Supposedly, water pump parts may be available end of first quarter.

I just bought my signature truck CPO from a Dodge dealership, has the ****ter and water pump recalls still open... Maybe I got lucky?

With all the Ford bashing going on, I have to say the I'm a Ram convert. My last truck was a '01 F350 SRW CC 4WD Lariat with the 7.3; had 225k miles before it got stolen... I mean lost it in a divorce, lol. That truck was solid mechanically, nothing more than normal wear and tear items (front bearings, u-joints, water pump, etc.). Only one electrical problem and that was the CPS, but with those trucks, you always kept a spare in the glove box, lol

You need to FULLY fill in your public signature so people can see what you have. SRW, LB, SB, Dually, axle ratio, 68RFE, AISIN, trim level and so on.
