One of my christmas gifts was a triple gauge A-pillar pod. I figured I'd put in a pyro as the *must* get first gauge. I am going to go with the ISSPRO EVA pyrometer R3607VW (2 1/16inch 1500F COLOR CODING FS). I like the looks of it and the color coding will be easy for anyone else using my truck to get the idea.

And the second gauge I was thinking of a boost, probably this one:

R5613 EVA GAUGE MECH TURBO BOOST 30 PSI BLK

Now for the third, I really don't know. The 5'spd transmission temp really doen't need to be watched, engine oil temp is probably fine, fuel pressure? (these trucks have the good lifts pumps, right?) so, a fuel pressure gauge might not be needed. if I did do a fuel pressure, I'd probably go with this gauge:

R5604 EVA GAUGE MECH FUEL PRESS 30 PSI BLK

Great minds of diesel wisdom, what should my third gauge be

TIA

If you get a fuel pressure gauge you need at least 40 PSI. You will peg a 30 often. I know you can get a 40 PSI from Westach because I have one. I don't know about the other vendors. You might have to ask them. The use for a fuel pressure gauge on a 12 valve is to let you know when something is going bad like an overflow valve. It will be the first thing to notice bad fuel too.

You can build a manifold to allow monitoring pre and post fuel filter pressure to tell you when to change the fuel filter. If you do this, understand that you cannot monitor both sides at once with one gauge. You will mostly bypass the filter and introduce trash into your injection pump. Open one valve at a time and note the readings. HTH

The third gauge on my 97 is oil temp. I have a 3 blade 2 position toggle switch mounted next to the gauge. One blade goes to each sender, one on the trans and one on the diff. Center blade goes to the gauge. You can mount the senders into bushings going from 3/4 npt to 1/8 npt that replace the stock fill plugs. Use the 1/8 npt port on the top of a Mag Hytec cover.
