Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Cant get it started

I did a major overhaul to my 94... . had the block torn down to block and pistons. I did a injection pump, cam, head twins etc. So the fuel was "dry". I have pushed the primer button till I got blisters, then I got a broom handle and pushed more. I can not get any fuel in the pump that I know of. I dont hear any thing at all. The truck is a level, I was thinking about jacking the rear a bit to see if that would help? Do I just need to keep pushing?

Is the tank full? You might take the input hose off at the lift pump end and see if there is any fuel. If not try to suck some out of the tank thru that hose and see what happens. It sounds like you have an air lock. See what happens if you pour some fuel in the top of the fuel heater. Or pressurize the tank. In other words, start trying things to move fuel from the tank to the input of the fuel heater.
