Can't make 8.4 do a few things...help!

I have looked and looked, both here and around the web. I have the 8.4 with navigation and Uconnect in my '18 3500. I have it pretty much figured out except for two things. I can't return a text with talk to text; I have to use one of the pre-determined responses. When replying to a text I get two choices, one that says use a prerecorded reply and one that says just talk. Then I get a voice that says pick a prerecorded one.

Number two is how to turn off the auto-reply to texts. I can't find anything to just shut it off.

My phone is a Samsung S8. I have hooked it up via Bluetooth and a cable and get the same things. Everything else seems to work.

Not sure how long the free Uconnect period is any more but are you sure that it's still active. Once the free trial period ends you lose your voice recognition ability until you renew you subscription.

I have almost a full year on the trial. Just got the truck. I figured out today that my phone needs to be plugged in to the USB and Android Auto running. It then uses the Android instead of the truck. It works but bluetooth would be better.

That's odd because I have a Samsung Galaxy which in Android based and I use Bluetooth exclusively on my 2015 Longhorn. Maybe you should contact Uconnect..........Don
