Can’t reset fuel filter on EVIC

i just replaced both water/fuel separator and fuel filter. When I go to the EVIC to reset it, it won’t reset the percentage on the filter but it will reset the miles since last changed. It is now at 0% and saying service fuel system required see dealer. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. 2013 2500 4x4

Never seen that and i have had my 2013 for 5 1/2 years. You bought it used?

I have since figured it out. I just kept resetting and it finally went. Not that impressed with the system. Yes, I bought it used with 32k on the odometer and now it’s at roughly 90k. First issue I have had with the truck.

Sometimes it takes a minute to reset both. Don't push too many times to quickly.

just changed both filters. cannot reset the life of the fuel filter no matter how i sequence the buttons. tried 10x. i highlight the confirm " yes " and nothing happens. didnt see any info on this in the owners manual. any advice much appreciated. cheers! 2018 tradesman 2500.

ok. so after 40 minutes of me pushing buttons, in a 2018 after the yes was highlighted, i pressed the right arrow one time and that worked. i had previously tried that....problem solved. i had pressed it 3x, held it pressed, and tried hitting the plus button as well. cheers comrades!

Just so you don't think you're crazy, I had the same thing happen to me just now. Tried everything, including pressing the right arrow key. Nothing worked. Spent 15 minutes searching for an answer. After reading your post went back outside and it reset on the first attempt. Much better than other posters that had to get their truck re-flashed at the dealer.

glad you figured it out. lots of good info in these forums. even when i was trying to reset the filter life, i was even in truck with laptop following along, and still no dice....then finally i was able to get it reset. cheers comrade!

After trying to reset the fuel filter % about a dozen times I may have discovered something. Doing the correct reset procedure was only resetting the 'fuel used' but not the %: however doing the reset procedure without any hesitation between button pushes worked.
