8' bed truck. can't wait till it gets shipped here.

What's the deal with that?

Looks like photobucket will sell you a coffee cup with a picture of your smashed truck on it...

Ill get a coffee cup and send it to the driver of the trucking company that did it. The coffee cup is funny.

The best part is you need to get in the passenger door cause the driver fender is pushed into the driver door and it doesn't open very much.

This is very common in the Auto transport industry. My brother -in-law use to work for Toyota as a body man and painter. The cars would be returned to a Toyota car warehouse in the mid-west and be repaired and repainted. The cars were then sold as new with full warranty.

If you decide to take the truck make sure you get a full factory warranty and everything is documented in writing.

Just my $0. 02

Unfortunately, as other have said, this happens all to often in transport. Dodge will take that truck back, fix the body, and then sell it as new but with a damage disclosure. There is a local dealer here that often sells these types after they go through the process. They will sometimes have a dozen or more on the lot, all with 5-10 miles on them and selling for the price of an equivalent used truck.

I certainly wouldn't accept delivery as I am sure that they will not expect you to at this point.

Sucks.

I was lucky. Dave Smith Motors transported mine via a very responsible owner/operator from Idaho to San Diego. Myself and another customer from Oceanside had them transported and got a reduced rate. Another transporter shipped them from the train to DSM,prior to prep. Lots of opportunities for disaster. Order another.

I Had set up the shipping company on my own as the dealer did not do that. I own the truck and I am getting it fixed under the trucking companys insurance. I have to accept the truck no mater what as per the shipping agreement and dispute it with there insurance. They did all the damage but i think the driver was drivinig my truck for his pleasure. So that will be settaled later

Have you contacted a lawyer? It may not be a bad Idea just to make sure things go smoothly.

I'm sorry about your truck, but I'm a little confused, Why would you sign a agreement to accept the truck from the transport company no matter what the condition of the truck?

Why would the Dealer not handle the shipping?

Damn, where'd you find the transporter, uship ??? Did you just go for the cheapest one you could find... . what 20 CPM ??

shipping company . I got a place by me that arranges shipping. No more like anyone that would pick it up. I wanted to get the Horseless carraige but they don't go in the area I needed it to be picked up from till spring. I don't see how i can turn away something I own. as where ever they leave it im going to have to deal with the fees it racks up and all other peniltys. Plus then getting it back. How do you get the money back that i spent if the truck is in michigan in some yard where i owe some crazy amount of money on. No one does anything for free.

I would geuss the Dealer didn't offer shipping just for this reason. They offered to have there guy drive it here but that was it.

KEppery,

I hope you get everything worked out with the truck so you can start enjoying it.

I saw your post on the NJJC forum, I am also a member over there. Small internet.
