Should the radiator cap read 16 or 15 psi ?

Did you get an auto parts store special or a dealer unit?



I noticed that auto parts stores never quite match oem. I pay the $5 difference and get oem from dealer.

I got a Stant. Has a pressure relief for when I pull the cap off. It is a 16 lb cap. I did a cooling system flush. Pressure checked the system. Pressure checked the old cap. I maxxed out a 12 lbs on the old cap.

Sorta gives ya the idea what I've been doing in school so far. We start diesel 1 next week. I'm gonna grab either a B or C series right away. The rest is junk. 350,6. 2 6. 5 chebys. Looks like they got some 7. 3 engines also.

Electronics just plain sucks. Great for the customer. NIghtmare for the mechanics.
