2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission carbomet brake pads

Is there a Canadain supplier for these pads? I checked with local NAPA store and they don't carry them.

Carbomets Rock !!!

Had a terrible problem on my squeezes 98 Durango with brake noise and dust till I made a call to Sam,,Ordered a set for her Durango and my 98 CTD and have them both installed now and all i can say is this,WOW,,Cold stopping power is fantastic and way above other pads I have previously used and little or no dust is seen on either truck,,Had my pads in 4 days from his shop to my house here in Central PA(Durango's pads were not in his stock and he even went out of his way to make sure they arrived directly to my house from factory),,His service was fantastic and I'll buy there again,,Top notch service from a top notch business,,Thanks Sam... Andy

Hey, I know this is a long-dead thread, but I ran across it while looking for a new source for Carbomet. Sam has retired from Rapid Brake Service and the new management has ignored 2 calls from me so far... .



Anyway, here's a possible source in Canada: Superior Industrial Friction (SIF) SIFbrake



I was considering doing the big buy-in to become a Carbomet dealer myself, but I found AnythingTruck at www.anythingtruck.com has excellent prices, good enough that I don't want to invest $$$ just to have them as my competition. I ordered a set, and I'll let y'all know if their service is any good.

I didn't update 4 years ago to say I was pleased with anythingtruck.com, but it doesn't matter now. I'm ready for another set, but they just informed me that Carbomet has discontinued our brake pads. I'll call Carbomet to see if they can suggest a dealer who may have some on the shelf, and let you know if I have any luck.

Hawkhead (makers of Carbomet) checked with the dealer who most recently bought our D459 pads, but he was out. I've checked with a mess of places that sell Carbomet for various vehicles. Nobody I've found has ours.
