Hi,

What brake pads last the longest, the Carbon Kevlar or the

Carbon Metallic. what are the best brakes.

Haven't tried the Carbon/Metalic pads.......

But the Carbon/Kevlar pads went metal to metal in under 10K miles for me. Truck weighs 11K lbs as a daily driver. I will say the rears weren't working up to snuff though, haven't since day one, POS self adjusters. They work great now, after the disc conversion... . :D :D :D

I have not tried the Carbon Kevlar, just the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic.

The PFCM's last a little longer then stock, but they don't wear your rotors like the stock pads. (plus they stop a lot better) The directions say "cut your rotors the first time, and you should never have to cut them again". I agree, I went almost 100K miles without cutting my rotors before the inspection guy said the rotors were . 010" under specs and would need replaced for next inspection. (I traded in the truck before then)

Plus Autozone gives you a lifetime warrantee on the pads. I have used that warrantee several times, they never question you on why one inner pad wears faster then the rest.
