Kids love cardboard boxes. Did you or your kids ever make anything cool out of cardboard?

I got three kids. 2 big enough for boxes.



They'd rather play w/boxes than the thoussands of toys they have.



they make houses, trains, tunnels, prisons, forts. you name it they tried it.

i just posted on the "floatable boatable" about carboard boats. maybe i shoulda posted it here. i won't bore you with the same yarn again.

My favorite was to cut the small ends off a refrigerator box, get inside and crawl propelling the box forward in a roll. Nothing could stop it, we called a box tank

my mother made a mail box out of a large blue painted cardboard box for me to "wear" for one holloween. The person giving the candy would open the slot as if to mail a letter, but instead, put the candy in the slot and it went into a small box taped inside. It was real neat, just missed (we were too late) a costume contest where I'm sure i would have won some sort of prize. some guy down the street liked it so well he gave me extra candy, which later turned out to be SOAP! that is one that I will always remember.
