I replaced my front rotors 10 months ago because one of the original pads kissed the rotor before I caught it. Anyway, I decided on new factory rotors for the front, the rears rotors were in great condition so no change there. I spent time cleaning up and properly scuffing up the rear rotors just so new pads would bed properly. Caliper pins and hardware were all cleaned and lubed right.

I chose Hawk Superduty pads as I had used them before on another truck with good results (better stopping power). I am real disappointed when I not only didn’t reach 20k on the pads, but the Superduty pads chewed up my back rotors unlike anything I have experienced. All rear pads wore down to nothing equally and wore equal amounts from both sides of the rotors. The fronts are still wearing fine, pads are still thick and rotors still look new, but from where I am at right now I’m will be using OEM premium pads all around to avoid future damage and the other headaches such as noise and dust. The Hawk Superduty pads would let me stop quicker, but I’m done dealing with the tradeoffs. Not going aftermarket with rotors either, was considering slotted EBCs but had slotted rotors in salted roads before and the slots just fill up with junk regardless of the coating they use. Not looking for any help, just FYI if thinking about brakes.
 
Sorry to hear that, though it's not necessarily unexpected... a pad with a higher friction coefficient is definitely going to eat rotors faster.

I got 100k miles of excellent braking simply from the oem pads that came on my truck from the factory. When it came time for replacement, I decided that it would be best to stick with it due to its proven performance. The rotors, at 100k, were only half worn and did not even need to be turned. I out the new ones on and hopefully will get close to another 100k of excellent, dust free, squeal free braking one y 8000# sports car. I will continue both to use and to recommend only the Mopar Premium line of brake pads for these trucks. PM me if you want part #'s for them...

PLEASE NOTE...the Mopar "premium" pads are NOT the Mopar "Value" pads that they stock and try to push at the dealerships.
 
Did you check to see if your rear were calipers sticking? Of course I have drums on my rear but I have had Hawks on the front for quite a while. Mule starting going left after stop go traffic so my mechanic put new hydraulic hose and pads put on (calipers?). Last year I had to replace all hydraulic hoses/pads on the Moose/Liner for the same problem. But the hoses and calipers on Mule was over 300,000 and Moose was over 200,000 I kind expected it.
 
Lesson learned here, too. OE pads (not value line) are worth the extra money. They last longer so the cost vs mile is equal too or better than the cheapies and the improver stopping and rotor life not to mention reduced brake dust is just a bonus.
