Installed the mopar sirius box in my 2003 truck yesterday. Everything went fairly smoothly except for trying to fit that box and bracket up into that small space under the dash. Worked forever trying to fish that thing around the wiring harness and power pedal bracket.

Anyways after all was installed and working with the radio, I noticed that the cargo lamps in the third brake light were on. At first, I didn't think that much about it because the door was open and the interior lights were also on. (I thought this was normal. ) After I closed my doors and the interior lights went off, the cargo lamps were still on. I checked the switch and it wasn't even on. I switched it on and off. I pulled the headlight switch harness, switched the lights on & off, etc... To no avail, I couldn't get the cargo lamps to go off. Finally, just disconnected the harness at the third brake light so it wouldn't kill the batteries overnight.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Stacy

On the 2005's that light comes on when you open the door using the key fob or dial the dimmer switch in the cab.

Try hooking it back up and lock the doors using the key fob. On mine, if the light is on and it's not the switch, the light goes out, along with the cab interior doom lights, when I lock the doors with the fob. If your CTD (no signature) doesn't have the key fob option, then I'm not sure where your problem is, as long as you're sure you checked the dimmer switch... ;)
