2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Cargo light and interior light reversal

I'd like to switch the positioning of the Cargo light and the interior light on my headlight switch. I'm pretty good at electrical but can't figure this one out. The reason I'd like to accomplish this is to turn the cargo light on before the interior light. Anyone have any ideas how to do this? Thanks

You might be able to back the terminals out of the headlight switch for the dome circuit and cargo circuit and swap them in the connector. Make sure the headlight switch switches the same feed for both though, or it won't work. (ie make sure the headlight switch turns the ground on or off for both dome and cargo)

I don't have a schematic handy to know if this would even work. Maybe somebody else can help?

the wires run up through the a-pillar... just test the wires and figure out which goes where, cut them, and do a little flip flop on them, and you're good to go.

Before you cut anyting do a search. I know for a fact that someone explained how to do this in a post right down to the colors of the wire. It is in the archives somewhere.
