I am considering a Carli Suspension upgrade. Due to budget constraints, it will be the starter kit which gives 2. 75" up front and 1" out back. Will this clear 35's without any problems with turning, bumps, etc? I had a 1/2 ton Ram before becoming a diesel convert and used the National Tire and Wheel website to determine that a 3" suspension lift would do the trick only to find they were way off #@$%!

I ended up having to get a 3" body lift to make it work. I do not want another body lift on any truck I own for a lot of reasons, so I want to do it right...

Thanks in advance for the input!

Talked to Carli the other day with the same question. Their response was that 35 will fit fine on stock wheel and suspension. Some guys say minor rubbing on the control arms at full lock others say just fine. I'll need new tires shortly and will be going Toyo MT 35 on stock wheels/suspension. After that when budget allows maybe their new performance 2. 0 system and some beadlock wheels.

No problems with the stock wheels,it's only the guys that try to run some crazy offset wheels that will have issues.

The other thing I should have mentioned after reading about the rubbing on the control arms, is that I am also installing a Dynatrac Free Spin Hub kit which dramatically decreases turning radius - so sounds like a steering stop adjustment may be in order as well...

Trusted friend of mine put his on his '06 a few months back and he has told me his turning radius decreased by about 3 feet or so when turning a complete circle.

Another ??? - what width 35's are you fellas running on the stock wheels to make this work? 10. 50, 11. 50, or 12. 50?

Curious about this one as I'll be doing the Dynatrac install today. I'll take some before and after measurements regarding turning radius.

I'm curious now. I'll call Dynatrac for the scoop. Thanks. If that's true,it'd be another plus. It seems you'd still be restricted by the control arms with stock wheels and 35's. Interesting.

I don't see a 3 ft decrease happening, our trucks turn pretty tight now for there size.

The 12. 50s are the tire of choice in the southwest,in the snow country narrower tires may work better

Bob - again, only relaying his words. Also, I failed to mention, his is a 3500 SRW - that may make the decrease possible.

The 12. 50 toyo acts almost like a 13. 50 by other tire manufactures specs! The side lugs are pretty narly and could cause you to rub where say a BFG 12. 50 would not! Not to mention toyo's are extremely heavy! I had 35\12. 50\18 toyos then switched to 37\12. 50\18 bfg's and lost 10 pounds with the bfg's!

I am a BFG AT/KO guy - had them once on a 2WD and that is all I have had since. Lots of reasons, but I really like that tire. Thanks to all for the input!

If they come out with a E-rated 37/12. 5/17 tire, I will be the first one in line to get these. But I might give the Goodyear 37 inch tire a try. Anyone use these, good or bad. #ad
