Welcome Mr. Bale. Great to see your posts on the E-Brake threads. Don't know if you're doing this on your own or with corporate knowledge, but I don't care - you're insight and knowledge from the engineering side are welcome. Hope you stick around and post often.

Ditto, Carlton. I appreciate your time and input, regardless of whose clock you are on. Your comments are invaluable, hope you can stick around.

Dean:)

Same here, my question was more because I am wondering what will happen to him if being here isn't sanctioned by Cummins. . I've seen reps from company come on forums before, offer the inside scoop (without violating any company secrets), and still get nailed because they didn't get permission.

I'm just hoping that won't happen.

My participation in the forum is based on my position as an engineer for the exhaust brake. I will offer information relating to the brake as soon as it is appropriate for me to do so and I will be happy to discuss anything brake-related for a released product. The official Cummins announcement for the brake was issued earlier this week and that's why I'm able to offer information now.

As for any other subject, such as upcoming engine changes, I really can't offer any additional insight. It is very important for Cummins to keep confidential information from competitors. Unfortunately, this also means keeping it from customers. About 5 years ago, a major trucking magazine published an article on the Cummins 15-liter Signature 600 engine almost a year before it was to be officially released. This gave competitors time to develop new products and diminished the advantage Cummins would have had.

So, for anything exhaust brake related, let me know if you have a question. For other subjects, my ability to respond is very, very limited.

Carlton,

We're not looking for insider information (can't believe I said that with a straight face ). Just keep us on track, whenever you can, if we haven't got things quite right. Look forward to your inputs - and maybe we can provide you with some useful info, also. We bought these pickups because it's the best engine/truck combo on 4 or 6 wheels. Between us it will stay that way. Thanks again.
