Carpet Wearing Through

My Ram is 18 months old and has 33,000 miles. When I cleaned the mats and carpet yesterday, I noticed a large patch of carpet fibers stuck in the back of the mat where I rest my left foot while driving. The carpet below that spot is severely frayed and almost worn clear through. (Not the mat, it's fine, but the carpet under the mat) I'm hoping they will warranty it but don't know how much carpet they will be willing to replace. Anyone else had this problem?

I wore out the driver side mat in one year but it did not hurt the carpeting. Replaced the mats with the Husky Liner front and back.

Dealer Replacing Carpet

Great news! I took my Ram in to Lou Grubb Dodge and they are going to replace the carpet. They agreed it should not be wearing like this and could not figure out why. Also replaced the front track bar assembly and serviced the rear diff since it was leaking. All under warranty.
