I got tired of my wife complaining about the big step into, and out of the truck. I also got new leather seats in December, and I did not want to prematurely wear them out. I noticed the edge next to the door was worn, probably from sliding on the seat over and over.
I did not want the full side bar, just a step, so I installed a set of black, aluminum Carr steps. The directions are fairly well laid out. They also come off fairly easily (in case of 4 wheeling), with four bolts on each bracket. They come in plain aluminum as well. I think they look pretty cool as well.
