Rear axle and the 5th wheel hitch

busted cargo door

I just purchased a brand new Carry-On flatbed trailer. It is 7x18 with slide in ramps. GVW is 9,900 lbs. This was the cheapest new trailer I could find in my area. I plan on using it to haul mostly firewood. Have any of you guys had one of these trailers? Are they any good? It looks like a pretty good trailer for what I will use it for.

Titan tires

I do have the china bomb tires on the trailer now. Going to save up and get some TITAN tires. They might be more money but at least they are made in the U. S. They also hold more air pressure and a little more weight capacity.

Not to lecture you, but to give you some insight, the axle also must be taken into concideration when running over weight. You can get better rated tires for more weight carring capacity, but you can literaly bend your axles if you go to far. I've seen a lot of trailers over weight with the wheels running at a angle. :)

I thingk you will need to consider the weight of the trailer as well. My gooseneck has two 7k's under it. I try not to put more than 10k on it. I put 14 ply tires on it. I don't lke tire trouble.
