I am looking to buy a 2010 2500. I am in the rural of southern Utah. I will have to drive a minimum of 80 miles to the first Dodge dealer available.

In the past, I have read here where folks were getting good deals with Carson Dodge. Today I can't find a reference to Carson Dodge on the 4th gen forum.

Are they still the dealer to talk to for good deals? If so, who is a good contact in the sales department?

Thanks in advance,

Dean

Carson Dodge has always been good to me. I bought three trucks there, but the salesman that I dealt with is no longer there. Give it a day or two for some others to check in and see if there are any other's with newer input. Can't hurt to call them. I know that Dave Smith advertises in the local rag, so the competition is there.

Dsm

Carson Dodge wouldn't cut me much of a break in Oct. 06 when I wanted an '07 5. 9. Dave Smith on the other hand offered me a terrific price on a special ordered one(which I did) or an in stock model. 70% of their business is out of state so they're well versed in providing the right paperwork. Jack Powell Dodge, one of our local dealers suggested I try DSM!

I was looking at a 2009 model last Fall. The offered me dealer Invoice Price and we split the Holdback. Although I don't know if it was a good deal, I can say at least the "numbers" matched the same one I came up with. I would have saved about 9 to 10K under MSRP if I had made the purchase.

Ultimately decided to keep my '02 as it is a daily driver (only 140K miles on it) with most of the driving Now under 10 miles in Carson City. Plus it's Paid for... . :)

That was a very fair price. Carson wouldn't come near that when I solicited their biz. I wish they or DSM would open a store here as they have a good reputation for service. Things may have changed at DSM currently with the economy.

I have bought three new vehicles from Saitta Trudeau Dodge in Pahrump, NV where they help us with May Madness each year. I deal directly with Don Trudeau so I don't know who is their internet guru, but Linda DeMeo there can help you find someone to talk to. . . 888-449-6621

I too have purchased 2 trucks and my wifes Caravan from Carson Dodge over the last 7 years. In tha last two years they have become a average dealership IMHO. Just not the same place it was 4 or 5 years ago.

I got over $12,000 off MSRP when I bought my truck in Nov, '09 from Carl Burger Dodge near Sa Diego. No hassle, as advertised price. I dealt with Travis Smith.

I got everything set up by internet + phone before, then drove the 200mi + got it done.

I'm still wondering what happened to Chuck Gillies. He's gone, but no one seems to know why.

Lou Fusz in St. Louis used to deal at the (what they called it anyway) employee discount price. TDR member Tomeygun used to sell for them, but I don't believe he works there anymore. Bought my 04 there, $8k off MSRP in one phone conversation. Bought one-way plane ticket, salesman picked me up at the airport and I drove the truck 1,300 miles home that afternoon.

May have gone the way of Carson, but it's worth a look for a great deal.

Don't know but he was a great guy to deal with. I bought 2 of my Dodge's from him. Plus in the old days it was nice to be able to go in and see John Holmes around and chew his ear. His Cummins class was great and he taught me things I still use today. Went in to look at a 2010 duallly and some young guy came out who wanted to play what kind of payment are you lookin for game. As said they have gone the way of all the others.

Check out ebay motors , you can build your own truck and they will give you a quote from dealers in your area. the quote I got was 2,000-3,000 below dealer invoice.

Ordering question...

Getting ready to order mine so I took your advise and was checking out eBay motors.

I noticed some odd differences that I can't figure out. First off is the back seat in some of the trucks. In some cases the center section of the back seat is slightly shorter than the other the seats on either side (is this based on the bench seat or bucket configuration of the front seats)? I want the bench seat in front and the full center back seat due to car seats.

Secondly, I noticed the trucks from back east have General Tires whereas I can only order Michelin or BF Goodrich?

Anybody know why there are differences?

Thanks in advance.
