Castrol Syntec Blend for Diesels

Hi Guys,



Went to the dealer today for the 5th oil change, and lo and behold, I leave with Castrol 15W-40W Syntec Blend for Diesels in the crankcase. Up until now, the dealer has always used Delo400. Now, I must add that this dealer has been exceptional to work with since I bought my rig last year, and have the first year free oil changes... hence, why I still go there. Anyway, asked the Serv Adv what's up, and he says we have changed to Castrol for all our maint services.



Has anyone else had any experience or feedback with this syntec blend that Castrol puts out? Supposed to be good stuff, but then again, so are alot of things... . just curious... .

... it seems to be regarded as sort of a "ho-hum" non-spectacular synthetic brand. Not bad, just nothing to get excited about...

I would rather have Delo 400 in my crankcase over the Castrol syn blend any day!
