Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Castrol Syntorque

Howdy! First time poster, long time lurker. What I need to know is where in the Houston, TX. area can I find Castrol Syntorque? I can find plenty of Syntech but I believe I read that Syntech isn't what I want for my transmission. I have 63,000 on the truck and the transmission works fine, I don't want to screw it up by running the wrong stuff. I live on the east side, if there is somewhere around here it would beat a hundred mile round trip. Thanks!

Castrol Syntorq oil, by the gallon - $54. 00 at Standard Transmission & Gear Company in Fort Worth.

Is Syntorque ATF+4 rated?

I think we're using the Castrol Syntorq in the NV4500 HD 5-speed. I don't know what goes in the A/T.

Welcome to TDR. I use Castrol Syntec transmission fluid. Expensive synthetic, works fine.

BGott-nice name. Anything that is synthetic and has the right approval letters/numbers for our vehicles will work very well. Opinions around here are free so you get what you pay for. For the record I use all Amsoil in all my CTD's.
