It's time to replace the back part of the exhaust for the second time.
Has anyone found a stainless steel cat back they like?

Thank You - Andy

I put a MBRP on the old 04.5 and a Silverline on the '07. Both were 304 stainless cat back 4" systems and look like new even after over a decade in the PA salt. Highly recommended. The only issue I have had is that the clamps that were supplied with the kits originally were aluminized an I have had to replace a few over the years.

I bought both sets well over 10 years ago. I think they were over $500 back then, but I can't remember for sure.

I also have MBRP, 4” cat back, as in my signature. I’m quite happy with it.
I thought I got it from Summit Racing, but a quick check shows no item like I have. I believe it was around $375, but it’s 400 series stainless which is a cheaper grade. Stains, but won’t rot away.

The system has arrived.
Has anyone had issues getting the pipe off the cat?
Other than that, it's just a job for my sawzall.

Thank you - Andy

I always use a ratcheting strap for separating these pipes, give a nice pull on it to the rear and then wiggle around the muffler till the connection slips apart.
Otherwise a horrible job.

I was thinking of the cutoff wheel.
I dont have a strap wrench, but, I think I have a pipe wrench that might work.

Thank you for the info - Andy

Well, its in.
Thank you all for the help.
I went with the MBRP cat back system.
Y'all didn't tell me what a nice growl it gives the mighty Cummins. Love it.

Sadly I did cave on installation. I had so many things backed up in parts. Exhaust, shocks (Bilstein yellow) and replacement linkage for the 4 Wheel drive that decided to fall off one day. There is a small shop one block from the house. They put it all in in a day. At 75 years old it would have taken me way longer. I have known him for years.
