i am sandblasting and repainting my cat d3 dozer. i am going to need new decals and dont want to get them from CAT for obvious reasons $. where else can i get some updated equipment decals?
Give me the part numbers for the decals or a serial number and i will see what my cost is on them. I always thought the decals or films as cat calls them were resonable.
i dont have the part numbers yet but i will try to get them. i would appreciate your help this is the 1st time i have ever tried to redo a machine. i have always wanted a cat so i want to make this thing look right.
there is a local dirt contractor who bought a new komatsu that has all of the controls in two handles that fold down just like an excavator. he did not need this one he let it sit one year without cranking it so it needs some work. here is a pic of what it will look like when we get done but i am going to put the new cat decals on it. oh yea he practically gave it to me for $3500 bucks he thought the engine was blown it only has 3200 hours on it. i figure that was not right but i bought it like it was went out there sprayed some ring free in it and got it cranked so i ended up with a good deal. i am going through parts of the under carriage (both idlers and two rollers) then i will be ready to paint and rebage.
here is a pic of one similar to mine. the my d3 also has the limb risers. i am going to paint them black and also adding in a piece of expanded metal which will be black across the back. i figure it will be worth 20K when we get done with it. my next dodge is going to have its work cut out for it.
