Cat Engines........

Anyone familiar with the Cat 3126G engine (I believe that is what it is. ) What kind of mileage can one expect to get out of it? What probelms, if any, is there to be aware of with it? Looking at one in a 2000 Business Class FL60 with 40K miles, coupled to an Alisson for around $22K. Good Price, bad price? Your thoughts? I might have got the engine number in correct, just going off of a phone call with my dad.

I just ran a 1000 miles in a FL-70 w/3126 and avg 11mpg, mostly all highway @65mph ran up w/9000# in a 24ft. box, deadhead return. A friend's 2000 F-750 has a 3126 and has had a few fuel rel. problems. My ancient Dodge 900 has more legroom,less windnoise and better closing doors than those little fl's do. 22k seems avg, IMO.
