cat missing

I HAVE A 95 2500 4x4 5sp 3. 54 210000miles stock plate slid forward withsmoke screw adjusted to control smoke, muffler is in place there is no cat should there have been from factory? thanks

Mine is a 95, and it had one on it when I got the truck. Check to see if any pipe has been welded under it that doesn't look factory. The cat would have been in front of the muffler by about 1 foot or so.

Mine had a cat when I bought the truck but it did not last long I put a pipe in its place all I can say is the same thing but it was a factory.

I thought that was the resonator that was right in front of the muffler not the cat?

24 valves have resonators, 12 valves have cats.
