I was scanning through the Tradinpost website (http://www.tradinpost.com) and I came across a truck that some of you might be interested in. It's a 1975 crewcab dually Cheby with a 3208 Cat diesel in it.

Here's the article:

1975 CREW Cab dually 3208 Cat diesel. 5 sp. Too much to list! $15,000; BO or possible trade. 309/697-1315; 309/264-8447 cellular. Mapleton.

Kind of reminds me of a truck Uncle Frank FRank Keske) put together in 1976. Uncle frank was a fan on Internationals and he was an engineer for Caterpillar tractor in Peoria, ILL. In the mid 70's he took a 73-74 or some such and cut the cab in half and made an extended cab with shortened doors in the back so he could put his suitcases behind the seat. It was powered by a Cat 1160 v8 diesel ( precurser of 3208). He retired to Tusson AZ and off he went with his 4 door green Binder and Airstream. 18 mpg with an big silver airstream behind. Uncle Frank died last year and I forgot to ask David (my cousin) who has the binder now. I remember Caterpillar's magazine at the time had a picture of Uncle Frank and a story about his truck on the front page. :)
