are gas engines about as efficient as diesels?

general auto transmission question

This may be already out there, but I thought I would throw it out here anyway. There have been alot of talk/inquiries about the Schwitzer turbos used on many hybrid setups that derive from the 3126 or C7 engines.

The part numbers for the high hp turbos 250hp to 330hp are:

All 3126 serial ranges

CAT part number: 191-8028 Reman:OR7569

For high hp C7's from 250 to 350hp

Part #228-3228

yea from what i understand is that the s300 series and s300g are the only turbos that cat did not buy the right to. these sledpullers etc could be using parts from these other very similar turbos squized and machined into the s300 bodies not sure about this though

Schwitzer is a division of Borg-Warner Turbo Systems. www.turbodriven.com

My son used one as a replacement on his Detroit Series 60 diesel 430/470 hp eigine. It was better than the original equipment both in power and fuel mileage. I don't remember the model he had but he got it at a Distributer in Omaha, NE.
