Ever heard of the saying, "no room to live?"
About a three months ago we had an Airman from the base lose control of an F-350 flatbed truck on one of the local roads at about 80-85 mph. He went into the ditch on the other side of the road. The impact lifted and turned the truck into a tree. The lowest impact on the tree was five feet off the ground on the passenger side door/roof. After it was all said and done with, the pass. seat area was gone. The right front tire was raised off the ground. That corner was supported by the transmission mount. The frame rails on BOTH sides were damaged, along with most everything else on the truck. For those that know these trucks, they have cattle panels for the flatbed part. One of the panels on the driver side went through the back window and caught the drivers head. The last I knew, he was still in a coma. The only good news about this was that there was supposed to be someone with him. If this person would have been there, he would be six foot under now. They (the Transportation Squadron) shipped off the truck before I could sneak in to get some pics.
