Is there anyone out there the have a catcher ECM with the redline box. I am going to buy a redline box this winter i was wondering it the catcher will work well with the RD. The RD box is just a fueling box, i thought that i could use the catcher for the timing part. My truck is a 2001. 5, does anyone think that there will be a problem running them together. Right now i have the drag comp box on right now.

Will the catcher be worth the extra money since i am going to get the RD box.

As far as I know, the Redline and Catcher should work together well. The regular Blue Chip FMS is one of the recommended counterparts to the regular Catcher, so I imagine the Redline would work as well. IMHO, unless you're going for the 4000 rpm the Redline provides stick with the Comp Drag and get a special Catcher if you want something more. The Catcher will still fill in the void at lower engine RPM while still working with the Comp. That is not to say that the Redline is not a good upgrade. In fact, there are numerous good reports of Redline users on the forums. It's just that if it were me, and I already spent ~$700 on the Comp Drag, adding another $400-500 for the Catcher and $1500 for the Redline seems bit much in my opinion. But, of course, you're always open to disagree.

Redline

I will have this set up installed by this weekend and will let you know.

With the Redline box you won't have to deal with defueling over 2700 rpm. I know the drag comp does not defuel on level 5.

I have a 6-speed so it will be real nice not having the truck defuel at 2700 rpm and be able to have power up to 4000 rpm :D . I am just waiting on a small part for the thermocouple and it will be in. Sam

My will have more ecm's in a day or so.

Bob,

Is there a "special" one with my name on it for testing? BTW, threw a p0216 on the way up to Oregon, have put over 2k miles with no problems, guess its just a matter of time. All of that without tapping the pump wire?
