Does Cat sell a filter that will fit our trucks? I wonder who makes them? Fleetguare, Wix, Baldwin or Cat themselves? They would have to be at least as good as Fleetguard. I wonder if they have anything that compares to the Microglass or Stratapore. I have a Cat dealer in KC and Topeka, both a lot closer that the Cummins dealer. When I used to have my old D-6, They were very reasonable on oil & fuel filter prices.

Dennis just a heads up, there was not one on the approved list that DC issued with their TSB. I would just order Fleetguard from Geno's and save some time and money. JMO

Actually that's what I use, I go to Case-IH, and get their black & silver version of the Fleetguard Stratapore. I think it's called "Ultra Micro-Loc" or something like that. About $9. 75 ea. I crossed the # up with Fleetguard, and emailed them, it's the Stratapore. Can't remember the #.

Whoops, I forgot about the cost. My friend is a mechanic at a dealer here and he can get them for me a little cheaper than geno's plus I don't have to pay any shipping.

Case-IH filter

For the 24v Stratapore, the Case-IH part number is J934430 and about $ 9. 75 is U. S. list price.

Do NOT let them sell you P/N J908615; that is the Fleetguard cellulose filter for a 12ver, which is used on a lot of Case-IH equiopment.

Yah Dennis, no problem running the Stratapore with a thick outer shell on a 12ver, it COULD:eek: be a problem running the thinner-shelled older filters on a 24ver, due to the increased engine oil pressure levels.
