Happy Mothers' Day to all!

Hemi (Real ones) Thread.

My neighbors are not what I would wish on you for neighbors.

She has a new honey. He was arrested for tampering with utilities. They will not feed their cats. Now there are sometimes 4-5 cats on the back porch,on the front porch, and on the vehicles.

I am tempted to inject some hot lead into these pests. The other night I found 4 cats in my trash can. I run them away, and they come right back.

What do I do???????????????????????

Next time they get in your trash can, slap the lid on, drive to the local "Peking Moon" leave trash can outside front door with a label "Catch of the Day"

Catch them, call animal control, they will come out and pick them up. The cats don't know any better to hang out at your place or their own.

People not the cats.

The owners should be ashamed. It is the same old story, if you have a animal, take care of it! I have had many cats in my day. They can be good pets, fix em, feed em, and give them the house at night. If you are not willing to do this, don't get them!

They will take care of mice, vermin, and are great lap warmers. There is nothing like a contented ***** on your lap!!!:D :D

Dirty minded rascals!!;)

I agree with the trapping and animal control method. I had this bad @ss maurading stray male at my place years ago. Set a trap and By By Kitty. The animal control came and got him. The biggest crime is people not fixxing their cats. I get VERY UPSET when I have found a cat has climbed all over my truck or cars:mad: Chris

I don't think I have ever had a problem with any of my neighbor's because of their pets. I have however had a situation that ticked me off. I had my truck parked in a homeowners driveway with my window rolled down. Apparently while I was working over the course of a couple hours, somebody's cat climbed inside my trcuk and decided to leave muddy paw prints all over the inside. I had prints on the dash and all over the seats.

don't blame the cats for looking for food because their once owner stoped feeding them, they do not know anybetter and are hungry

SCPA and the local animal contral are the best answers

Anti-freeze.

Yea, I'm cruel, but don't hold it against me. I just don't like cats that don't know how to not scratch my truck.

Take out the worthless ones, and feed the ones you want to keep around. Then just feed them enough to have them stay around, and fix them. They will take care of all your rodent problems. I adopted a stray years back, and kept it outside. Our house and the two on either side were the only ones in the neighborhood without rodents, or snakes. Great cat, only came when I wanted her, never climbed up on things, ate noisy mocking birds, ate mice, and hated my wife(ex-wife now). She loved my Bassett Hound, and slept with her nightly. She ran away when we moved the dog to another house. We couldnt catch her.

Cat trap

If yer too cheap [like me ] to buy a trap just make one. Heres how. Build a box open on one end and wire mesh on the other . Put a sliding trap door [I like metal] in the open end enclosed in tracks -- you know-- just like any kid would make a box trap.

The best part of the trap is the trigger. Tie a small rag around some tuna and run a string from the baitthrough the wire mesh to a mousetrap screwed to the top of the box. Tie a secondary string from the bail of the moustrap yo the trigger of a Rat trap . Tie the bail of the rat trap to the nail that you have placed through the trap door. When Kitty tries to get at the bait=whammo

Adavantage of this dual trigger is sensitivity of the mousetrap and power of the rat trap to pull the trip of a heavy door. Once you have built one trap , you can easily build the second one in an hour.

Damn Scott... . You are mean! I would recommend a Zerex bowl on the back porch, or get some dogs that like eating kitty cats. . my heeler hates cats, and makes sure there are none around our house!

Go for it! The only good Cat is a dead one... especially the long haired ones!

On this topic, I can't agree with you enough! I am highly allergic to cats, and Have to agree with Diesel Freak! Have a nice night, and keep the kids out of the green KOOL AID on the back patio! :D :-laf

Once while interviewing people for director of our probation dept.

I noticed that the routine record checks showed one guy had a conviction for discharging a firearm within city limits, of I think San Diego Ca.

When I asked him about it he got all red and told me that a short time before that happened he had married a woman with a big male cat that had taken a strong dislike to him; he explained that he drove a convertible and got off work at 11:00 pm. As he approached his new wifes home, he'd open the garage door with the remote and often as he pulled into the garage the cat would jump down out of the rafters, give him a scratch or two and flee back up into the rafters and into the Attic of the house.

He began taking a 20 ga. shotgun to work and when a couple blocks from home, he would get it out of the trunk, load it and have it ready as he entered the garage. After a couple days, the cat struck, but it did not make it back to the Attic.

Neighbors called police when they heard the shot.

He said the marriage was doomed to a short duration.

Cats

A neighbor lets his cats loose all the time. They leave pawprints on my cars regularly and 'presents' on my lawn. I've tried cat repellent. It didn't work. The waterpistol only worked if I sat home for days on end... But these cats are fed and cared for, they just run free. It annoys me that I can't put up birdfeeders because of these cats. They are car savvy, so I can't run over them. I don't keep firearms in the house. I should trap them and turn them over to animal control.

I had a ton of cat problems once. They were fighting all the time... all night. I called Animal Control & they dropped off a cat trap ... live trap. I supplied the cat food/bait. When I saw one in the trap, just called them. They came & exchanged traps until all were gone. :D

Wasn't there a thread like this only concerning dogs that was hot up until a few days ago? Maybe you need to take some tips from that, both in dealing with the cats and with the owners. I won't get into my opinion on this, as I think cats are okay, as long as they are indoor only. I also like dogs, but I like them better when they beong to someone else ;)
