Cause for alarm?

When my truck idles and I have the heater on, I think I can smell fuel fumes? Should I be alarmed? I'm relatively new to diesel engines so I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance!

Probably sucking in exhaust when its sitting still... almost every dodge diesel I've been around does it.

I'm going to guess it does it primarily when it is first started??
